We learn about people by studying animals. That happens all the time. Drugs are tested on mice, rats, and primates before they are tested on people.

The U.S cosmetics industry still tests their latest beauty product in rabbits’ eyes, to judge how irritating they are.

But, how about learning about animals from studying humans?

Homeopathy is built on that foundation, with remedies all undergoing “provings” on human volunteers. Oh, the irony!

Today, there’s a lot to be learned in both directions about what I consider the greatest predictor of chronic disease on the planet:

Vaccinations.

Kids, Animals: Not All That Different

As I began my foray into understanding health and disease from a more holistic perspective in the early 90’s, it became apparent early on that vaccinations were playing a large role in creating disease states in all species.

Disease states that were and are damned difficult to cure.

The epidemic of autism was just getting some press back then as I shifted away from conventional practice, and the parallel was clear. More shots to kids than ever before in history, more kids lost to their families and society, landing on the autism spectrum shortly after vaccination.

And now, some buried statistics emerge from the U.S. Special Claims Court, who publishes a yearly report about vaccine injury awards.

Vaccine injured people lost the right to sue the drug companies 30 years ago, under the Reagan administration. Now, if you have an injured child after vaccination, this “vaccine court” is where you go, hoping to get some help financially to cover the great expenses that cheap shot caused.

And for the lifetime of expenses you face going forward.

Let’s Hide This Data in Plain Sight

Statistics can be helpful when they are widely distributed in a useful fashion. Spreadsheets come to mind. They’ve been available for, oh, some forty years now.

But, if you have data that could be damaging to a large industry that has its mitts in a lot of pockets, it might be better to publish data in a way that’s visible, but damned near impossible to analyze and use.

And that’s just what the vaccine court does, where “special masters” act as judge and jury. Every year in January they cough up the prior year’s award damage report.

Rather than a spreadsheet that would make analysis easy, the vaccine court publishes their annual vaccine injury settlement payouts in PDF files.

220 pages worth this year.

Which makes sorting and analyzing the data a huge chore that nobody bothers with.

Wait. Even the media?

Oh, especially the media. This vaccine injury report never makes headlines or TV airtime. The press regularly ignores it. As do health officials, politicians, and the CDC.

The Dirty Details

It turns out that, with enough determination and volunteers and time, these “hidden” data can be mined. The 2015 report (published in January 2016) was finally worked into reportable trends by a dedicated group who cares to know: The Mom Street Journal

And what a story these trends tell.

After 10 months of labor, the following understanding emerged from the 2015 data:

• Total settlements to the vaccine injured increased by 382% in a year’s time. From $22.8 million in 2014 to $114 million in 2015.

• Payments for vaccine injury from the flu shot topped the charts: up over ten times (i.e. 1000%)! $4.9M in 2014 payments rose to $61M in 2015 payments.

Seen the annual Fall barrage of ad campaigns urging you to “Get your Flue Shot?” (Now, for your convenience: drive through clinics!). Blithely unaware of the vaccine court’s data, do you suppose?

Interestingly, the HPV vaccine (Merck’s Gardasil), being marketed with uncannily unscrupulous advertising to young girls and their parents, didn’t make the graph, but payments related to it were up to $3.4 million in 2015, from almost none in 2014.

And now, they are trying to vaccinate young boys with this same vaccine, originally aimed at stemming cervical cancer.

I wish I was making this up.

Got Your Flu Shot?

I see at least two take aways for you in all this.

• Like humans, animals are also commonly injured, becoming chronically ill after vaccinations. Most commonly, that’s called “allergic itch,” and it’s been the #1 reason dogs see vets for over a decade. We in holistic vet practices see the association with vaccination.

• You would benefit from avoiding the useless and problematic flu shot.

If you’ve followed this over the years, you know the vaccine manufacturers have to literally guess which flu strains to put in this year’s vaccine. The latest flu virus hits the streets well after the vaccine has been manufactured for any given year.

And they often guess wrong.

So, “protection” often fails. That’s called a lack of efficacy.

Far more significant is the lack of vaccine safety, and that’s true in human and animal vaccines in equal measure.

What’s the #1 Flu Shot Payout FOR?

These folks who got damaged by the flu shot were most often victims of paralysis, from the autoimmune attack on their nerves, called Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Here’s data on that and other serious side effects from a March, 2014 by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services report.

Paralysis? Or flu? Which would you rather deal with?

Similar outcomes have been seen from rabies vaccine. Ever heard of laryngeal paralysis? How about degenerative myelitis? Here’s a case with both, post-rabies vaccination.

Best Bet for Flu 2016

I haven’t had the flu since I can remember. Used to get it every single Winter growing up in Wisconsin. Probably being fed three glasses of pasteurized, homogenized milk daily had something to do with that.
